Thanks to its chemically resistant plastic body and internal components, the Metso fluorine absorption tower can be used for polishing highly corrosive gases. The chemical lining is customized to meet the requirements of each specific application and process.
The dosing control system requires only minimal maintenance due to the measurement principle for HF.
Customizable for different processes and plant arrangements
Existing gas cleaning systems can be upgraded with the Metso Fluorine Removal Solution. The enhancement includes installing a Metso fluorine absorption tower or replacement of the existing tower with ceramic packing. The water glass dosing control system is supplied as a complete unit and can be integrated with an existing process control system.
Integrating the dosing control system into existing plants without a Metso fluorine absorption tower can also be done. This stand-alone upgrade both eliminates the need for highly cost-intensive maintenance related to water glass dosing, as well as reduces HF concentrations in process gas due to the fast and efficient reaction regarding fluctuations.
Small footprint
The Metso fluorine absorption tower is supplied with an integrated pump tank and platforms to minimize the solution’s footprint. This also eliminates the need for additional steel structures and support platforms, further minimizing any environmental impacts.
